  • Now with added Vitamin K2 & Boron (For their important contributions to building bone density)
  • Magnesium Stearate-Free ...(You asked...we listened!)
  • Eco-harvested from fossilized coral...(so as not to disrupt delicate ocean ecology)

Around the year 2000, there was a "Coral Calcium Craze" that lasted for several years. Coral was the hottest item flying off shelves, and we had a large percentage of customers reporting increases in bone mineral density from one scan to the next. In other words, it worked, and sometimes the results were dramatic! Yet we got tired of always recommending extra magnesium to balance-out the calcium. So we formulated our Coral Calcium with Magnesium and Vitamin D into the Optimum Health Vitamins product line, and saw great results for years. Then, like it does with so many nutritional supplement crazes, the pendulum swung the other way and calcium fell into disfavour. This was because if someone is deficient in Vitamin K2 there is a tendency for calcium to deposit in soft tissues, instead of in your bones where you want it. This left many in a conundrum: Do they let their bones fade away in an attempt to maintain cardiovascular health? The solution... improve how your body handles the calcium by adding Vitamin K2!

Further, an unsung hero in the battle for bone density is Boron, due largely to its effects on hormones that play such a critical role in maintenance.

Once more, after observing results "from the field", Optimum Health Vitamins put all these nutrients into one product. And though we may not agree, we listened to our customers asking for a product with NO Magnesium Stearate. So, in Coral Calcium Complete we used a product called Nu-RICEā„¢ , which consists of rice-bran hulls.

As we discuss in this past article, the observed results from Coral Calcium improving bone density could be because of the wide spectrum of 73 trace minerals, or the alkaline nature of the Coral, or more likely a combination of both...READ MORE
